sfg workshop prep 330We’ll start out by introducing you to the square foot gardening system-the 10 basics as we call them. We’ll then spend time on how to correctly save seeds, and then we’ll start rolling up our sleeves and getting our hands dirty during the workshop portion of the class. We’ll build a box, make the perfect soil, make and add a grid, and start planting. We’ll cover the correct spacing for some of the more common crops, and then we’ll spend quit a bit of time on composting. How to do it, what you do and don’t add, common ingredients, etc. The final portion will show how to extend your harvest season deep into the fall, or even into the winter with some protection techniques of the SFG system. You’ll leave here will plenty of time to gather your materials and build your gardens for a successful fall crop. All the problems associated with spring and summer gardens are gone. The days are cooling off, as are the nights, and all the bugs and critters that bother us during the earlier months are now gone. You’ll never spend a better $35-you discover how gardening can be fun again, and you’ll learn how to save a lot of money in the process.
