Labor day has come and gone. Your neighbors were pulling all their weeds from their traditional single row gardens, tilling in leaves, peat moss, manure and putting their gardens to bed. They don’t know it but they just lost a lot of extra garden produce potential by ending early. There is no way they are going to continue gardening this year because it’s been another hard and yes, predictable year of watering everything, digging, roto-tilling, etc. And they had to pay their kids money to pull those weeds all summer long which will train another generation to hate gardening because of it. What a mess that garden was at the end of the year-again! They won’t do anything different next year which will give them the exact results as this year. But not you-a square foot gardener. We still have work to do! And its fun work. In this workshop we reinforce the basics that you have done all season long and answer any un-answered questions that you might have. We will exchange stories of what worked and what didn’t work. We then will plan and plant for our last season-the fall crop. Don’t lose out on an additional 6-8 weeks of gardening! We will show how to put some of the gardens away, amend our soil for a perfect growing season for next year, additional compost training, and how to protect your gardens all the way until the end of December if you want to! We’ll even be discussing how you can have spinach at the first signs of spring long before any of your neighbors even thought of getting food from their gardens! Because this is a one-time class in the fall, we will expand our maximum number to 30. If you are interested in hosting this at your home let me know and we-as the workshop class-will get your gardens all cleaned up for the winter and replanted for the fall. We will do the work for you during the workshop. What could be better than that? I have done this for two years now and it has booked fairly early and it was at capacity. Reserve as soon as you can as I will only be doing one class-unless the numbers necessitate one more.
